The United States Bartenders’ Guild seeks to enhance the image of the bartending profession to the public and to heavily support the wine and spirits industry and related trades. The USBG’s purpose is to improve customer-bartender relations and increase the prestige and knowledge of practicing bartenders. The USBG has a great working relationship with all facets of the liquor industry and we encourage our members to work closely with supporters of the guild and their brands to push the industry forward.
Bartenders who measure up to USBG’s high standards are able to join an organization that promotes a feeling of comradeship and even of family among its members. Chapter members form a network of colleagues who lend each other moral support, share their creative expertise, meet socially, and offer informal professional assistance to each other across the country.
Of course, most individuals join because of their proficiency as bartenders and their dedication to the art of mixology. Our annual cocktail competition is the high point of the USBG’s national calendar but members participate in many other local and national events during the year, such as educational and promotional events sponsored by active supporters of the USBG.
We currently have chapters in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Dallas, Denver, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, St. Louis
Our members are dedicated to the craft of mixology and through continuous education and competition amongst piers we will continue to drive the industry standard to new levels of acknowledgement.
